I am an undergraduate student in Computer Science at the University of Washington.

My interest is in bioacoustics and interpreting the semantics of complex vocalizations, particularly through data-driven methods. I am also passionate in furthering technical education access.

At Echospace, my primary involvement is in better understanding the Union Bay Natural Area (UBNA) soundscape through monitoring the spatiotemporal distribution of bird and bat calls, as well as contributing to the the long-term passive acoustic monitoring (PAM) project in UBNA. Previously, I have worked with using machine learning methods to understand vocal variation in the song sparrow, a species of songbird, which contributed to my understanding of bioacoustics.
