I am a marine quantitative ecologist with a PhD from Sorbonne University (France), where I studied the spatiotemporal organization of mid-trophic level ecosystems in the Southern Indian Ocean using active acoustics, oceanographic data, and functional data analysis approaches to disentangle these complex ecological patterns.
Since joining Echospace in February, I have been contributing to both open-source software development and acoustic research. My software work is mainly focused on Echopype and the broader EchoStack ecosystem, including developing new features, contributing notebook examples, and helping maintain interoperability and coherence across packages. I really enjoy contributing to open science tools that support both research and operational workflows.
On the research side, I am currently applying FDA approaches previously developed for multivariate continuous-wave acoustic datasets to broadband acoustic data, with the goal of better characterizing acoustic targets and exploring new ways to understand these information-rich datasets.
Outside science, I enjoy running, hiking, cooking, and playing drums/percussion. Feel free to reach out by email if you’d like to connect!
